Lightsmith
Project Director & Game Design Director - 2014 // Puzzle design, experience design.
Lightsmith is a puzzle game inspired by my days as a Telecommunications Engineer. In this game, players help BeamBot bring light and music to the universe. To do so, players reflect, split, filter and color-shift beams of light through a level. My personal favorite thing about this game is the light filtering interface, which distills an advanced concept (light filtering) into an intuitive interface.
I designed about 60% of the levels in Lightsmith and led the project through approx. 50% of production, at which point I handed it over to an amazingly talented team.
Over 40 challenging missions you can help Beambot succeed in his mission to restore light to the darkest recesses of space. To do so you must master optics and learn to manipulate light waves to solve puzzles and fix support stations along the intergalactic highway.
