BVW - Building Virtual Worlds
BVW is a graduate course based on teamwork and design. Students are grouped in a different team of 4 every two weeks and are asked to build a virtual world for a non-conventional platform - in total, each student builds five worlds. Every team consists of a programmer, a modeler, a texture artist and a sound designer. All four members share general design duties.
Below are links to all of the five worlds created for the course:
Round 4 - Quadcorp: Workbot 259
Round 5 - The Nacho Brothers' Vacation Adventure
I was honored to call Jesse Schell my teacher during the BVW course.
It is BVW tradition to assemble an end-of-semester show for industry professionals, family memebers and CMU students to attend. I was very happy to find that four out of the five worlds I helped create made their way into the 14-world roster for the show.
